Catalina Piatt-Esguerra is the Associate Dean of Organizational Strategy and Effectiveness at the University of Virginia Library. She serves as member of the Library’s Senior Leadership Team. She directs the implementation of a wide array of workforce culture programs—including the Library’s onboarding program (You Belong Here), its early-mid-career L.E.A.D. program, the Welcome Ambassador Team, and staff trainings and connection opportunities. Additionally, she supports faculty hiring processes and partners in strategic planning and change management initiatives.

Cindy has worked at IATH since 2002 and is the resident X-geek (XML, XSLT, XPath, Xquery - any X-initialed coding, really). She works with structured data, trains students in XML and related software, and helps manage projects at IATH.

Lauren has been IATH’s multimedia designer since 2012. She primarily supports research projects that focus on the built environment, specializing in architectural visualization (especially historic reconstructions). Other work includes graphic design, front-end web design, video production, and project management. She has guided the 3D visualization component of the Jefferson’s University, the Early Life (JUEL) Project since its inception in 2014, supervising a number of student interns over the years.

Ryan is the Director of Information Services and Spaces at the University of Virginia Library. Ryan oversees services across multiple libraries and services points, including chat/text/email services, and manages a department of librarians and professional staff, plus a large group of student employees.
