Coming from a media-rich background in audio/video production and editing, he now focuses on making professional 3D capture and display technologies available to students, faculty and staff in order to facilitate new means of academic expression at the University.
Ivy Stacks is a high-density shelving and retrieval facility located one mile west of Central Grounds. It is not open to the public.
Ivy Stacks currently holds over two million books and other materials from the University of Virginia’s library, all of which are available for checkout through Virgo.
There is a drive-up book drop outside of Ivy Stacks, which anyone is welcome to use. See a map of Library locations and book drops.
Steve Bartlett manages the handling of Ivy requests and transfers of Library material to Ivy Stacks. If you've sent anything from one piece to a whole collection to Ivy Stacks, Steve is who has helped out.
Winston Barham was named Faculty Open Access Librarian in 2021 to provide dedicated Library support of the Open Access Guidelines adopted by the UVA Faculty Senate. Winston works with Libra, UVA's institutional repository, and other open repositories to encourage self-archiving of research and scholarship and foster open publishing models of scholarly communication.
