Amanda Wyatt Visconti is co-director of the Scholars' Lab, the UVA Library's community lab for the practice of experimental scholarship in all fields, informed by digital humanities, spatial technologies, making, and cultural heritage thinking. The Scholars' Lab offers mentoring, collaboration, & a safe space for anyone curious about learning to push disciplinary and methodological boundaries through new approaches. We're foremost a space for learning together—about anything—by trying stuff.
Steven Villereal is the Audiovisual Conservator in the Preservation Services unit where he is responsible for providing both preservation and access strategies for time-based media materials. He oversees preservation reformatting of legacy audio and moving image materials, and consults on long-term stewardship of born-digital production projects.
Miguel serves as liaison to several departments and programs, working closely with faculty and students in Spanish, Italian and Portuguese, French, Latin American Studies, Jewish Studies, and German. He coordinates conversations about Global Studies, involving staff across the Library's different areas.
John manages the Brown Science & Engineering Circulation Desk and student employees.
Judy's role is to promote and support collaborations between faculty and librarians through the design and implementation of programs that enhance research, teaching, and scholarship. She works closely with colleagues across the library to communicate effectively about library issues and to develop mechanisms for engaging faculty in planning the future of library collections and services.
Nawang directly supports and engages with UVA Tibetan Studies faculty, students, and staff in several departments, as well as with national and international researchers. He liaises with the UVA Tibet Center, and maintains the Library's renowned Tibetan Collection.
Angie processes government document shipments for the Library from multiple sources, including the U.S. Government Printing Office, Virginia State Library, and international depository programs. Her duties involve serials check-in, copy and original cataloging, claims, and holdings maintenance. Additionally, Angie collaborates with branch libraries to provide Government document and microfilm maintenance.
Bill manages the Music Library's circulation operation and student employees, answers patrons’ inquiries, and deals with facility issues.
