Kathy is a project manager for library spaces and works closely with staff on improving or reconfiguring public spaces and also assigns individual offices and workstations for staff. Kathy can also provide help to staff in finding an ergonomic office chair. Kathy works closely with Library Facilities Management in improving public and private spaces in the Library.

Robert manages customer requests and the digital collection building work queues for the Library Digital Production Team. He also hires and manages student employees for the unit.

Holly hires, trains, and supervises students for Interlibrary Services (ILS). She processes requests for Borrowing and Document Delivery. She manages overdue notices, clears new users, and processes incoming and outgoing mail. She processes returning Continuing Ed books after they are retrieved.

Ammon is the Makerspace Manager and Lead Research Technologist at the Scholars’ Lab where he oversees the day-to-day running of the Makerspace, coordinates the work of the student Technologists, 3D prints, prototypes with Arduino and Raspberry Pi, sews, develops websites, teaches various workshops, and collaborates with everyone.

Regina assists researchers with Special Collections materials, answers in-person and virtual reference inquiries, and manages digitization requests.

Chris leads a team of ten subject liaisons in the arts and humanities, ensuring that library services and collections meet the evolving needs of these disciplines. She provides leadership and vision for the library’s liaison services, with a focus on outreach, engagement, and research support. She is currently the subject liaison for Philosophy and for the American Studies program.

As the Director of Strategic Technology Partnerships & Initiatives, I work within and without the University of Virginia as a technology consultant, advisor, mentor, and IT management professional. Engaging with the higher education, library, and museum communities, I work to establish and participate in sustainable communities that provide open-source technologies, standards, and practices supporting the creation, access, use, and preservation of scholarly work. Within the UVA Library, I engage with stakeholders and manage projects to achieve strategic library objectives.

Nicole Royal manages the preservation workflow resulting from items identified the CLIR Hidden Collections Project, Book Traces @ UVA.
She stabilizes and creates custom housings for Special Collections materials, as well as doing minor repair work on the circulating collections.

Will Rourk is the 3D data and content specialist with the Scholars’ Lab. He has a background in Architecture from Virginia Tech and Architectural History from the University of Virginia and focuses on 3D scanning, modeling, 3D data and GIS. He teaches and researches in the UVA Program for Historical Preservation in Architectural History at UVA, defining methods of 3D cultural heritage informatics in the collection, processing, preservation and distribution of 3D data of historic objects, buildings and sites.
 

As the Director, Digital Strategies and Scholarly Communication, Jennifer provides vision and direction for teams focused on metadata and discovery of resources, digitization, the institutional repository and library publishing platforms, and advocacy for and support of sustainable scholarly communication models.
