As Director of Communications and Content Strategy, Amber seeks to create intuitive and empowering Library experiences in online and offline environments. Working closely with the UX and Assessment teams, Amber constructs and implements information architecture through navigation, site content, and back-end CMS architecture.
The Charles L. Brown Science & Engineering Library, in Clark Hall, holds undergraduate-level materials in astronomy, biology, chemistry, math, physics, and psychology. It also has research collections that support students and faculty in the Engineering and Environmental Sciences programs. The Brown Library has reservable spaces for collaborative study and teleconferencing.
The Claude Moore Health Sciences Library supports the School of Medicine’s faculty, staff, and students. It has its own mobile app and is located near the hospital, at 1300 Jefferson Park Avenue. You can find more information on their website.
The Harrison/Small building houses the Mary and David Harrison Institute for American History, Literature, and Culture, which offers programs, fellowships, and exhibitions. The Institute’s building also houses the Albert and Shirley Small Special Collections Library. The building also houses permanent and temporary exhibition space. Permanent exhibitions include “Flowerdew Hundred: Unearthing Virginia's History” and “Declaring Independence: Creating and Recreating America's Document.”
The Fiske Kimball Fine Arts Library provides research support and collections for architecture, art history, archaeology, and the classics department. We offer research and software consultation, image scanning, and spaces for quiet study, collaboration, meetings, and video conferencing.
In addition, the Fine Arts Library features the Materials Collection, which contains building samples, and the R Lab, a space dedicated to collaborative work, which has special reservation options to accommodate faculty.
The Camp Library supports UVA’s Darden School of Business by providing access for Darden students and faculty to a wide range online resources as well as books and periodicals. Popular with students for abundant study space, late hours, and media-related services, Clemons is one of the busiest libraries on Grounds. Our large DVD selection and collection related to philosophy, history, and more, provide everything a scholar needs. Clemons is also home to Gallery 4, a student-centered outreach space featuring student-created art, multimedia work, and interactive, rotating displays.
