Josh Thorud designs and teaches audio/video and digital art instructional sessions, including software, equipment, media literacy, and digital storytelling, as well as consults with instructors about course design for media. He also creates instructional materials such as video tutorials and step-by-step handouts on technical and content-related topics. Josh also occasionally teaches courses as instructor of record.

Kim creates and edits metadata for printed and published material for Special Collections, including the McGehee Miniature Book Collection and various backlogged printed materials.
Elizabeth maintains key e-resource information systems and is responsible for the production and dissemination of statistics related to resource acquisition and usage.
As a member of the Library’s Senior Leadership Team, Elyse leads the Assessment, Communications, and User Experience (ACE) department, overseeing the Assessment and UX Research Team (AUX), the Communications Team (COMMS), the UX Design Team (UX), and managing the University’s Academic Captioning Program. Their work is rooted in human-centered storytelling, evidence-based decision-making, and studying human behavior patterns to enhance user experiences, engagement, and accessibility.
Caleb oversees the LEO (Library Express On-Grounds) and Document Delivery teams. These teams manage the physical retrieval and delivery of library materials for patrons and the on-demand digitization of articles and book chapters for researchers and for instructional use.
A group of prominent University of California faculty say they will step away from the editorial boards of scientific journals published by Elsevier until the publishing giant agrees to restart negotiations, which stalled in February and left the 10-campus system without subscriptions to some of the world’s top scholarly journals.
