Josh Thorud designs and teaches audio/video and digital art instructional sessions, including software, equipment, media literacy, and digital storytelling, as well as consults with instructors about course design for media. He also creates instructional materials such as video tutorials and step-by-step handouts on technical and content-related topics. Josh also occasionally teaches courses as instructor of record.

As a member of the Library’s Senior Leadership Team, Elyse leads the Assessment, Communications, and User Experience (ACE) Division, overseeing the Assessment Department, the Communications Department (COMMS), the Digital Accessibility Department, the UX Department (UX), and managing the University’s Academic Captioning Program. Their work is rooted in human-centered storytelling, evidence-based decision-making, and participatory design practices that center the perspectives and lived experiences of the communities the Library serves.
