Feeling distracted??

This season is packed with distractions! And sometimes our brains don’t need any help coming up with their own.

You may find that taking a break helps — for example, Student Affairs’ “Winter Wind Down” schedule has mindfulness activities, places to get snacks, and concerts. 

Another technique might be to ask a friend or a roommate if you can keep each other company while you quietly study or work. This productivity strategy can help keep us on task, for longer.

Finally, remember that whatever you’re trying to finish, it’s temporary! Putting pressure on ourselves makes it hard to focus sometimes. In the end, you’ll do what you need to do — and soon be looking back on this moment as a distant memory.
