The University of Virginia has signed an agreement to bring LeapSpace, Elsevier's research-grade AI workspace, to our research community. Built for the full research workflow, the tool is designed to help researchers accelerate discovery, weigh the strength of available evidence, and sharpen critical thinking as they work.
LeapSpace draws on more than 20 million full text, peer-reviewed articles and books from Elsevier and 1,000+ content-licensing partners, along with over 100 million scientific records from more than 7,000 publishers on Scopus. Results are grounded in peer-reviewed literature with traceable citations, and “Trust Cards” allow researchers to gauge the strength of underlying evidence, helping steer their research from start to finish.
The agreement builds on the University's ongoing commitment to research excellence and our exploration of new technologies that support teaching, learning, and discovery. It also highlights the role of Library faculty and staff, who can act as trusted partners throughout the research lifecycle — connecting scholars with the resources, expertise, and services they need.
