The Music Library supports research in the following disciplines: musicology, theory and analysis, composition, performance, jazz, musical theater, ethnic and world music, popular music, and folk music. The Music Library has one of the most significant music collections in the southeastern United States and includes more than 135,000 books, scores, and sound recordings, as well as extensive online collections (including access to more than 500,000 tracks of music). It is the only Library location on UVA's Lawn. Use our online reservation system to reserve audio equipment.
Study spaces include the large, unique main floor, which has ample natural light and chairs and tables for working.
The lower level contains study carrels, reservable shelves, and tables among book stacks.
