FY 2025 marked the fourth anniversary of the Friends of the Library program, launched in FY 2021 with more than 600 founding donors. Since its inception, the program has continued to thrive and expand. Friends of the Library is a distinctive recognition society that welcomes members through a variety of giving pathways — including annual, consecutive, and planned gifts, as well as gift-in-kind contributions.
Members enjoy opportunities to connect more deeply with the Library through curated experiences such as tours, lectures, exhibition openings, and other special events — offered both virtually and in person. New members receive a welcome kit, while renewing members are acknowledged annually for their ongoing support. All Friends are honored each year in our online honor roll, and Library donors may also qualify for membership in University-wide recognition societies.
Philanthropic gifts and endowment support represent a vital portion of the Library’s budget. The generosity of alumni, students, staff, and friends is essential to our mission — and deeply appreciated. If you’re already a Friend, thank you for your continued commitment. If not, we warmly invite you to join this growing community of supporters.
