UNIDO Statistical Databases

These databases contain statistical data on the manufacturing sector of countries based on the International Standard Industrial Classification of all Economic Activities (ISIC) Revision 3 (report). Users must download and install the software on a computer with Microsoft Windows. The software enables users to select, retrieve, and export data for further processing.

INDSTAT4

This database contains highly disaggregated data on the manufacturing sector for 135 countries for the period 1990-2010. It contains seven principle indicators of industrial statistics, including number of establishments, employment, wages and salaries, output, value added, gross fixed capital formation, and number of female employees. The data are presented by country, industry, and year, are arranged at the 3- and 4-digit level of the ISIC Rev. 3, which comprises 151 manufacturing categories.

INDSTAT2

This database contains historical time series data on the manufacturing sector for 166 countries from 1963-2010. It contains seven principle indicators of industrial statistics, including number of establishments, employment, wages and salaries, output, value added, gross fixed capital formation, and number of female employees. The data are presented by country, industry, and year, and are arranged at the 2-digit level of the ISIC Rev. 3, which comprises 23 industries.

Industrial Demand-Supply Balance Database

IDSB contains highly disaggregated data on the manufacturing sector of 94 countries for the period 1990-2010. It contains annual time series data on output and on trade related items, such as imports, exports, and apparent consumption. The data are presented by country, industry, and year, and are arranged at the 4-digit level of the ISIC Rev. 3, which comprises 127 manufacturing industries.
